SANKOFA SERVICES

These services are designed to further support the youth in reaching their goals.  Through ongoing assessments SYAF will provide Training, Quality Assurance, and Technical Assistance to non-profits and Government SW staff.  In addition we will provide strength-based clinical supervision to Licensed Graduate Social Workers in the MD/DC region.

Unlike any other comprehensive Independent Living Program, This service will allow many of our youth who obtain service industry jobs to earn the needed income at odd hours, while knowing their little ones are being cared for.

Sankofa 24- Hour Child Care

Each youth will work with an employment specialist to place them in a job w/benefits that will allow them to start as a temp
employee and move to a permanent position within 90 days which will allow them to become self-sufficient.  This service also provides job coaching/maintenance as many youth struggle to keep jobs long-term.
