Mrs. Holland is the Founder and Chair of the Advisory Committee. She has worked in the Child Welfare Systems in both MD and DC for 19 years.

Alex G. Holland, Jr. CTO Software Architect

Mr. Holland is the Vice-Chair of the Advisory Committee and the CTO for SYFS.  With over 11 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, Alex will lead the organization across the digital divide and allow Sankofa to increase productivity in service delivery.

Melanie Newkirk, LICSW, LCSW-C

Mrs. Newkirk is the Secretary on the Advisory Committee and the Chair of the Fundraising Committee. Mrs. Newkirk has worked in the child welfare industry for 10 years.

Jurmaine Newkirk

Mr. Newkirk is the Treasurer of the Advisory Committee.
